📊 Yield Potential

Average yield potential is 60 to 65 maunds per acre, while maximum yield potential exceeds 70 maunds per acre.

☀️ Heat Tolerance

Excellent capacity to withstand heat, especially during September and October when grain filling is taking place.

🛡️ Disease Resistance

Excellent resistance against diseases, with good resistance against stem rot and leaf blight.

🌱 Plant Height, Stem and Panicle

• Plant height: approximately 4 to 4.5 feet
• Strong stem: due to high tillering, the stem is stronger than traditional old basmati varieties, which protects the crop from lodging
• Panicle length: approximately 31 to 36 cm (about 1 foot), with uniform grain filling throughout

⏱️ Maturity Period

This variety matures in approximately 115 days after nursery transplanting.

🍚 Grain Quality

• Grain length: raw grain approximately 7.68 mm, becoming even longer after cooking
• 1000 grain weight: approximately 22 to 23 grams, a clear indication of heavy, vigorous grain
• Low broken rice rate: the grain stays strong in the sheller; on a good plant the broken grain rate can be kept to only 2 percent
• Fragrance and taste: like traditional basmati, extremely fragrant, soft and delicious rice
• Cooking texture: after cooking the grain becomes long and stays separate, grains do not stick together

Being part of the Super Basmati family, this rice is exported on a large scale through rice mills to the Middle East, Europe and Gulf countries. In the local market it is available as White Rice, Brown Rice and Steam Rice. With steam processing, the grain doubles its length after cooking.
